I make it a yearly tradition to see all the Academy Award Best Picture nominees in the span of time between the nomination announcements and the actual telecast. It’s a fun, movie-filled month-and-a-half in which I get to experience some great films – both in theaters and streaming online. I like being able to digest all the nominees, compare them and evaluate each of them – on both an entertainment scale and cinematic/artistic scale – so that when the ceremony airs, I can watch with a better understanding of the proceedings. This has been a tradition of mine since 1997 and it’s one I hold dear and truly enjoy.
